How to grow

  • Gently file the hard seed coat at the rounded end until you see the cream-colored inside. Don’t file the pointed end.
  • Place in warm water (25–30°C) and change the water every day. Sprouts appear in about 4–10 days.
  • When the seedling has 3–4 leaves, plant it in a wide tub with heavy, clay-rich soil and 10–15 cm of water above.
  • Give at least 6 hours of sun. Lotus grows and flowers in warm months.
